Princesses Island
The Princess Islands is one of the Turkish islands, and it consists of (9) islands located on the Sea of Marmara in the Turkish province of Istanbul, and these islands vary in size, some of them are small and others are large. The Princess Islands are distinguished by their scenic and beautiful scenery, which makes them a destination for visitors and tourists from different countries of the world, and what distinguishes them is that movement in them is by horse-drawn carts or motorcycles and bicycles, as it is forbidden to use cars by visitors except government cars.
It is possible to go to these islands by small ports belonging to the city of Istanbul, such as the port of “Qabatas”, but during the winter the number of tourists is reduced because moving to them is difficult because of the severe cold. The largest island in the Princess Islands is the island of “Buyuk Atta”, which is divided into forests Natural and a small part of it for trade, and a section for the residences of the wealthy in the state.

- Buyuk Atta Island: It means the Big Island, and it has an area of 5.46 square kilometers.
- Atta Island: It means saddle bag, and it covers an area of 2.4 square kilometres.
- Borgas Ita Island: It means the castle, and it has an area of 1.5 square kilometres.
- Kinali Island: It means henna, and it covers an area of 1.3 square kilometres.
- Saidif Atassi Island: It means mother of pearl, with an area of 0.157 square kilometres.
- Yasi Island: It means flat, with an area of 0.05 square kilometres.
- “My Travel” Island: It means sharp, and its area is 0.05 square kilometres.
- Kashik Island: It means the spoon, and its area is 0.006 square kilometres.
- Tafshan Island: It means rabbit, and it is the smallest of the islands with an area of 0.0004 square kilometers.
How to go to the islands
The journey starts from the Sirkeci station in Istanbul and then by train to the Kabatas metro station. After reaching the station, we go to the Kabatas port, and from there we board the ferries that lead us to the Kadikoy port. Then the journey begins in the Sea of Marmara directly to the Princess Islands. which takes two hours, and we can spend this time looking at the historical and beautiful places; Such as Haydarpasa Station, the Bosphorus Bridge, some historical castles, beaches and giant trees, even reaching the princesses islands, and moving from one island to another is by carts and bicycles, or by walking, and there are many hotels and resorts for overnight stays.
